Fantasy Sports: The New American Pasttime
I’ve logged quite a bit of time researching and writing about fantasy sports. Feel free to link to the following to find out about fantasy sports, from its founding to current day, with speculation about some aspects of the hobby’s future. In this research, I’ve applied diffusion of innovation theory to the emergence of fantasy sports in popular culture, and uses and gratifications theory to explain why so many are engaging in this ever-popular hobby. You’ll also note a link to my many resources which are referenced throughout my research, including annotations about their relevance to this work.
